THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 2009 · 6-9 p.m.

On Thursday, April 16 The Design Center at The Merchandise Mart hosted the annual DreamHome Preview Gala, benefiting the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation. Guests were the first to view the 2009 DreamHome, all while listening to a musical trio and enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. DreamHome designers shared their inspiration and mingled with guests. With nearly 700 people in attendance and more than $75,000 raised in the fight against cancer, the entire evening was star-studded spectacular. View the photo gallery below to see highlights.

Since its inception in 1947, the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation Women's Board has been critical to the Cancer Research Center's mission to understand, cure and prevent cancer. To date, the Women's Board has raised over $9 million, funding some of the world's most innovative programs in cancer research.
