Lee Jofa Hosted Eric Cohler
Thursday, September 21, Lee Jofa invited attendees to a special presentation and reception, taking place in The Merchandise Mart Conference Center, on the 2nd floor at 11 a.m. Eric Cohler is considered one of the country’s leading designers and dubbed the “Mixmaster” for his use of contemporary materials, which, juxtaposed with classical elements, give his interiors a jolt of unusual color and texture. He shared an exploration of great designers, architects, family history and how they manifest in his work.
Dining by Design
 Whether whimsical, inventive, outrageous or classically elegant, Dining by Design tables promise inspiration and entertainment. Showcasing a gamut of tabletop design from the industry’s top stylemakers, interior designers and architects, ELLE DECOR’s Dining by Design presented by GE and hosted by The Merchandise Mart, will celebrate its fifth year, benefiting DIFFA/Chicago: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS.
Letting their creativity run wild, each of the 50 celebrated designer participants will create a table that must accommodate 10 guests within a 10’ x 10’ space. Dining by Design has raised more than $4.5 million nationally for DIFFA, and plans to raise the bar again this year with an incredible lineup of A-list designers, dazzling displays of creativity and tantalizing products for sale.
