Lynn Harker, president of Woodland Furniture, presents The Business of Design in an interactive discussion at Melvin Wolf, Suite 1674. Having spent many years in and around the interior design business, Harker knows that few businesses are more diffi cult to run profitably. Harker’s 20 year background in direct and retail sales helped form that opinion. In 1985 he joined his wife in her design business and in 1996 they started building their own furniture for Woodland Furniture. Witnessing the struggles of the interior design business from within, as well as from outside as a manufacturer to the trade, has given Harker the passion to share his experiences in running a successful interior design business.
