Pindler & Pindler’s Signature Exclusive Newport Mansion’s Doris Duke Collection was inspired by the exquisite art, antiques, furnishings and global treasures found in Doris Duke’s Rough Point, Rhode Island estate. Doris Duke was the only daughter of James B. Duke, founder of the American Tobacco Company, the Duke Power Company, and a benefactor of Duke University. She inherited her father’s vast estate at the age of 12 and became known not only as a preservationist and environmentalist, but also as a style icon. This dramatic collection honors Miss Duke’s timeless sense of elegance and eclectic nature. With a combination of bold colorations, vivid patterns and elegant motifs, this collection is intended to inspire. Pindler & Pindler celebrates 60 years of excellence in 2007.
