JANUS et Cie Launches the JANUS Textiles Collection

JANUS et CieJANUS et Cie proudly presents its inaugural textile collection, which includes cushion covers and umbrella fabrics. Janice Feldman, president of JANUS et Cie, says, “We are passionate about quality, variety, color, texture and individuality, so we’ve designed a vibrant collection that will help you dress your furniture and your environment with the same discernment and pleasure that you dress yourself.”
Encompassing a selection of more than 150 fabrics, JANUS Textiles are designed to serve a wide variety of needs in a broad array of applications. Made entirely of durable high-tech highperformance materials, the collection includes captivating patterns and textures, as well as a variety of faux leathers. Textile patterns range from bold and cheery multicolor stripes in wide and narrow widths to two-tone tickings to matelasses, herringbones, waffle weaves, chenilles, failles, voiles, burlaps and jacquards. Made of 100 percent acrylic for durability and exceptional functionality, all the JANUS et Cie fabrics are created to please the tactile as well as the visual sensibility. The faux leathers are made of WEATHERSKIN, a webbed matrix of nylon microfibers that outperforms leather, even while it closely resembles leather’s natural and complex structure. The goal, as always, is to provide superior, elegant and enchanting solutions for every type of application.
Celebrate the new line at a special event in the JANUS et Cie showroom, April 26 at 5 p.m., Suite 1876. Refreshments will be served. R.S.V.P. to 312.822.0460.

Mariani now Available at Pacific Showrooms West

MarianiThe prestigious roster of Mariani designers represented in the line includes Adam Tihany, Luca Scacchetti, David Rockwell, Mauro Lipparini, Guido Faleschini, Titina Ammannati and Giampero Vitelli. Mariani’s fabled leather work techniques have been developed over centuries in Italy and refined with modern machinery for precision, yet the products are still hand finished. Mariani does not purchase leathers from outside suppliers but in fact supervises the entire process of its own leather production for quality control and integrity to its standards. All fabric furniture is made to be ‘undressable’ so the covers can be changed in the customer’s home without substantial effort. All leather furniture is permanently affixed to the frame and is shipped with a custom care kit, to repair scratches or other unfortunate accidents of life. These dyes are all proprietary dyes for colors that are all unique to Mariani’s leathers as they are all custom colors available nowhere else. Owning a piece of Mariani furniture is owning a part of the past and the future.
