The bathroom was designed around seclusion of mind and body. The arched wall is cocooning and creates a sense of calm. Discretely angled, the vanity wall emphasizes the intimacy of the space.
The relaxed design is expressed through the soft geometry of the vanity pulls, curved shower wall, and undulating glass tile. It considers functionality, technology, and green choices. The inviting Stretch bath by KOHLER® offers a deep soak for one or two. The large showering area features a mosaic floor, generous storage niches, and seating while the overhead KOHLER® Ambient Rain® proves perfect for a short rinse or a prolonged, saturation experience. The warmth from the EcoSmart fireplace is balanced by the pristine nature of glass and water. A hidden door in the curved glass wall provides privacy for a high efficiency dual flush toilet, and a dedicated wash basin.
The materials are elemental, not overly refined. Ann Sacks® Palladium, an Italian travertine, features a unique warm silver cream coloration with a soft blue-grey ribboned veining pattern. This lively flooring selection contrasts with the moody wall tiles of the shower and the deep reflective quality of the iridescent bamboo tile on the curved wall. The reflective qualities of the Ann Sacks® mirrored porcelain visually enlarges the water closet and adds sparkle to the shower niches.
The hand-crafted weathered vanities paired with sinks in a honed finish have a personality set apart from the moody tones of the bathroom.
