Welcome Lobby
As designers, we are always inspired by classic, sophisticated design which remains timeless.
In designing the Welcome Lobby, we began with the basic principle—Function. The form of the design followed quite naturally. Using classic furnishings, in a minimal setting, the space becomes both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
There is a sense of pure harmony in using only two colors—white and platinum grey. The space remains sleek and clean. We strived to create a simple yet elegant ambiance, as entry into the DreamHome, which always showcases the finest design talent and home furnishings.

A welcoming seating area with Edmund sectional by The Bright Group creates a space to relax and watch an informative video about the DreamHome designers and the making of the DreamHome.
Designer Portfolio Database
The functionality of the welcome lobby continues with a database of the Design Center at The Merchandise Mart’s Designer Portfolio members. Find a designer who is right for you. Concierge Desk
Lastly, the Valcucine consultation desk creates a convenient space for concierge to greet each guest and introduce them to DreamHome and discuss the many opportunities offered to homeowners.
